This breaks down into 2 x 3ft sections and is perfect for putting in the back of the van without getting in the way. It's a great all rounder having been used in the sea for bass and on the canal for pike. It casts all sorts of lures of varying weights with minimal effort, with a well balanced reel it's a pleasure to use. I find it has great strength despite its short length yet brilliant sensitivity and with softness to play fish without putting pressure on the terminal tackle. I've had a few occasions where I've been snagged and I've ended up testing the rod strength to the extreme, almost bending double whilst dislodging and rescuing my lures. It's great fun, highly recommended.

I have sadly lost the second piece of this rod and now I ordered two more to replace it. Awesome rod, I prefer the 6ft one. Very strong and durable I use these rods for everything. My pb carp is only 10lbs but it was caught on this beauty and I know for sure it could handle more than that tiny 10lbs carp. The short 6ft is awesome for pike fishing on the canals with a decent reel and some 15-20lbs braid in case of snags. Very light and comfortable and most of all at an affordable price.

Hello, I have bought the 1.8metres ugly stick 2. Light/medium model. The rod seems good but I cannot find the maximum cast weight. Or weight casting range. This is usually written on the rod but I cant see it at all. Please can someone confirm the casting weight range for this product. I dont want to cast too heavy a lure and damage it. Thanks in advance

This ugly stick is the best pole you can buy. Can't snap it and you can't find a more sensivity memory stick. And you can't find a better value. The eyes are infused into the stick and this pole looks, feels and is extremely durable.

Rod arrived fine used 5 times before the handle started to come loose and now every time you cast the eyes spin as the handle has come loose wouldn’t recommend this rod if wanting one for long time use
