Not impressed. Smaller than I thought. Line lay is awful ! I can't see it lasting long. Lesson learnt, buy cheap, get rubbish. Would return but bought line for it and already spooled it, hence finding line lay is rubbish.

This is why I’ve knocked stars off. I’m shocked to find that the bail mechanism/arm can, in normal use, collide with the handle. I’ve not had it jam or lock up but there is definitely an impact. It’s kind of a glancing blow as the two rotate around. It’s quite a positive and substantial blow though and as it’s right at the knob end, it clearly means that fingers could be trapped, IMHO. I’m a complete novice to the use of a spinning reel. Having lived right by the sea for years I’ve often been tempted by sea fishing. I’m pleased to have finally started getting to grips with this foraging opportunity. I think this is a beautiful and really appealing thing. All the knobs, doodads and complicated motion. It’s almost an executive toy in itself. It pleases me and I like it. Carefully examining it as a mechanical, manufactured object, I consider this to be well made. Nice. I hope these opinions and observations are helpful.

Nachdem ich die Rolle bestellt hatte, kamen mir Zweifel, ob ich nicht doch etwas hochwertigeres hätte kaufen sollen. Doch nachdem ich jetzt die ersten Fische damit eingekurbelt habe, sind diese Zweifel wie weggeblasen. Schnurverlegung Klasse, Bremse arbeitet gut und läßt sich leicht einstellen, auch die Kurbel ist solide. Bin mehr als zufrieden!
