The names of the rivers Ain & Aisne sound alike when pronounced by English speakers. The Ain is the one which flows into the Rhone, The river rises at an altitude of some 700 metres Nr the village of La Faviere in the Jurassic limestone of the southern end of the Jura mountains & flows into the Rhone about 40 kilometres 24.85 Miles above Lyon, some 190 kilometres 118.6 Miles down the Ain. This river is not a popular river but does contain good Carp including many wildies. Areas worth exploring are Retenue de Cize Bolozon & Retenue d Allement. Seek local advice for night zones. Cat Fish, Tench, Pike, Roach, Barbell, Bream, Perch, Chub & Zander. DONT FORGET TO LET THEM KNOW WHERE YOU FOUND THEM
